Photo Scavenger Hunt!

Something delicious! I made these Air-Fried Oreos for my family for dessert.  I arranged them in a circular pattern, so when I took the picture, the pattern was easily captured.  I added a drizzle of chocolate syrup, and sprinkled them with powdered sugar to finish it off.
Something that frustrates me! I am not a fan of snow.  The first time in the year is alright, but after that it just bothers me.  I don't like getting my feet wet, and I hate shoveling it.  I love living in Boston, but I fear the snow will drive me away.  I took this as a wide angle shot of my street.
This running shoe represents a goal I have achieved over the past six months.   I told myself I would start running more, and that I would get up to being able to do a 4 mile continuous run. It may not sound like a lot, but I had never run much over 2.5 miles at a time.  I was able to accomplish my goal, and I haven't stopped running. I hope to get to 5 miles soon.  I used leading lines from the wall, and also if you take away the floor, it has a symmetrical feel.
My record collection is important to me. I am a musician, and music is the biggest part of my life. I have compiled a lot of records of my favorite artists, and its something I love to have, with many of them holding special memories.  I thought a low angle shot would be a cool way to capture them, and they sort of have a pattern aspect to them, which I thought was very cool.
I continued to work on teaching myself guitar over quarantine.  I have been playing for years now, but theres always room to get better. Specifically, I taught myself fingerpicking.  While these guitar picks are not the ones used for finger style picking, I thought they made a nice image to portray my continuing practice of guitar.  I used the rule of odds to capture a viewers attention.
I am passionate about playing music, and also about recording music.  I think a microphone on a guitar amp portrays that nicely.  I am a music and sound recording major, I love producing, engineering, and mixing recorded music, and I love being the player, so this picture ties my two passions together.  I tried to have a cool framed picture, using the body of the amp as the frame.  Also, the mic in the middle adds a nice symmetrical touch.
Something I do for fun is play Xbox.  I do not play too often, or for too long, but sometimes it is nice at the end of the day to play a few games.  I used a wide depth of field to isolate the controller, while the TV and background is blurry.
For my wholesome picture, here is my 12 year old Gecko, Grover.  How can this little dude bring anything except happiness. I used the rule of thirds and kept him in the bottom third.  He posed quite nicely for this picture. Thanks G!
This Patriots gorilla reminds me of my childhood.  My grandparents got me this as a gift when I was 7 years old or so. To this day, he watches every Patriots game with me.  He was not too happy this year, oh well, theres always next season...
My everyday routine... Gotta watch the office.  I got this Office box set for Christmas since the show was being taken off of Netflix.  The use of negative space around the box puts all the focus onto the object.  This shows how important the office is to my covid daily routine.
A social issue that the world is currently facing is the fact that there are still people who refuse to wear masks.  This pandemic may not be over even if everyone was adhering to the rules, but we wouldn't have lost 450k+ Americans, and over 2 million lives worldwide if people would follow the directions.  I took this picture of me wearing a mask showing how people should be, since we are all in this together.  I used the mirror frame as a frame for the picture.
Something I am proud of is my band having pressed a vinyl record.  Vinyl is expensive to make, so in order to have this made we had to sell a lot of T shirts, play a lot of shows, and sell a bunch of CDs. This was my band from high school that doesn't really play anymore, but I am still proud of the fact we got to this point as a band. I used the perspective to create leading lines with the inner sleeve, and there is a symmetrical aspect of this image as well.
Something I took for granted was being able to go out to clubs and bars, and especially to be able to play live music.  Since the start of Covid, and the live music shutdown, I haven't played a show in over a year.  This is the longest I've gone without playing a show with a band since I was in 7th grade.  I can not wait for live music to start up again. I didn't know how to take a picture of this, so I took a picture of a picture of my band playing.

An image to show life as a UNH student.  I am fully remote, living at home in Arlington, MA.  My notebook, my laptop, a glass of water, and my to-do list for classes.  This is the life... I used a high perspective shot because it shows all these items in one image-making them look small, because thats how they make me feel.

Something that gives me anxiety is this baseball animatronic doll that has been in my house for over a decade.  He isn't alive, I don't think, but I swear his eyes move when you walk past him, and sometimes he isn't where I left him... I used a low perspective to emphasize how large this man's presence is in the house.
