Whats Affecting Me?

 My whole life is based around music.  I play music, I listen to music, I watch live music, I produce music.  Throughout the pandemic, most of what brings me joy has been taken away.  When the world was first shut down, I was living in Nashville, working at a studio, taking classes in another studio, and living a fun life.  Then, out of nowhere, the whole world was shut down.  There were suddenly no more concerts.  Then there were no more studio sessions.  I could not play shows anymore, and I couldn't even go see other people's shows.  It was, and continues to be, terrible.

I have not gone over a year without performing with a band since probably 7th or 8th grade.  I started playing bar shows at a young age.  Playing DIY venues, and real established clubs, was how I spent my nights in high school.  I didn't party, I played shows.  This continued into college.  I was never really into the party scene, however, I loved the house shows.  Packing a bunch of kids into a basement and having a few bands play is the perfect time, but sadly, its a time that is now a distant memory.  

I hope that soon we will be back to having live music.  It really makes the world go round.  Music is everywhere, and without it, society would crumble.
